What's in it and why
- Plant Oils/Butters
Monoi d'Tahiti - Made by steeping Gardenia (the Tahitian plant) flowers in pure coconut oil. It contains natural antioxidants and vitamins to nourish and protect the skin, and is an extremely effective moisturiser. Skin appears fresher and firmer following use. Genuine Monoi d'Tahiti is protected by a guarantee of origin to prove it's authenticity and it is this that is used in this cream.
Rose Absolute - an expensive oil due to the production method and the quantity of petals required, however, it is concentrated and powerful so only small amounts are needed for therapeutic benefit. Rose has a beautiful and feminine aroma that is emotionally uplifting. It has fantastic skincare properties, being soothing, toning and astringent, hence 'uplifts' the skin. It is particularly suited to drier, sensitive skin types.
Macadamia oil - rich in palmitoleic acid which occurs naturally in the skin (but reduces with age), the function of which is to maintain moisture levels. Macadamia oil is therefore an excellent moisturiser and nourishes older, drier skin.
Sunflower oil - rich in linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid required for healthy skin. Nourishes and softens skin, is easily absorbed, makes the cream 'light' and enhances absorption of other ingredients.
- Vitamins
Natural Vitamin E - an antioxidant that is soothing and softening. Promotes healthy skin growth and keeps fine lines at bay. It is natural and extracted from non GM crops, mainly sunflower.
Emulsifiers and stabilisers - Needed to 'hold' oil and water together as a cream and keep it stable. Have skin moisturising properties and improve product feel on the skin. All are derived from plants, either coconut, sunflower or rapeseed.
Preservative - Has to be included, otherwise the product would go mouldy in days. The one used in this product is suitable for skin cream, is palm-free, vegan and biodegrabable.
Ingredients: Aqua, Helianthus annus seed oil, Polysorbate 20, cocos nucifera and gardenia taitensis, cetearyl alcohol, glyceryl stearate, Macadamia tetraphylla, Tocopherol, phenoxyethanol, carbomer, potassium sorbate, sodium hydroxide, Rosa damascena. Citral, geraniol, citronellol and d-limonene occurring naturally in Rose oil.
Contains nut oil.
